Meeting location is the Natick Amvets Post 79, 1 Superior Drive Natick MA 01760
Please plan on attending the next detachment meeting- February 15, 2022.

Administrative Notes: Annual dues of $30.00 for regular members are due by August 31.  As late payment creates paperwork for the Paymaster, members are encouraged to make payment on time.  Life membership is a convenient and cost - effective way to handle dues.  Information on life membership can be obtained via the Paymaster.

From the Commandant:

February 11, 2022

Marines,

Please plan on attending the next detachment meeting- February 15, 2022.

The detachment sock drive is turning out to be a great success. I have over 300 pairs at my house. Jim Hastings has more since Bellingham has adopted the drive. More from Jim at the meeting. I want to thank my family and friends and Detachment members who have made this a success.  Socks are very much in demand for VA patients and these donations will be greatly appreciated.

We tried shooting last month after the meeting and we had fun.  Members showed some skills but there is room for improvement! I will bring the pistols again to the next meeting and we will see if more practice helps.

Nominations for the Detachment officers will occur next month. All positions are open. Any member in good standing is eligible to be nominated. It is time for new blood, please if you are interested step up. For this Detachment to grow, we need young people to get involved.  If you know of potential members, invite them to come to a meeting or to contact any of the detachment officers for more information.

The nomination process for Detachment Marine of the Year will begin next month. Any member in good standing can be nominated. Marine of the Year is a person who is dedicated to ideas and values of the Marine Corps League. Letters of nomination need to be sent to me, Commandant John McEntegart, 22 Potter Rd, Framingham, MA 01701 no later than April 19. After the April meeting, past Marines of the Year will vote on the 2022 Detachment Marine of the Year. Be safe.  Covid is fading but not done yet.
