The Detachment meets every third Tuesday of the month at 1900 Hours (7:00 PM)
Meeting location is the Natick Amvets Post 79, 1 Superior Drive Natick MA 01760
Please plan on attending the next detachment meeting- April 19, 2022.

Administrative Notes: Annual dues of $30.00 for regular members are due by August 31.  As late payment creates paperwork for the Paymaster, members are encouraged to make payment on time.  Life membership is a convenient and cost - effective way to handle dues.  Information on life membership can be obtained via the Paymaster.

March Meeting Notes:

Commandant McEntegart brought the meeting to order at 1900 Hours.  The roll call of officers was held.  The Sergeant at Arms was absent and the Jr. Vice Commandant was excused.

A motion was made to accept the minutes of the previous meeting as posted.  This was voted on and accepted.

Correspondence was received from the Semper Fi Injured Marines Fund requesting a donation.  This request was tabled until the next meeting.  A letter of thanks was received from the Beverly High School JROTC unit to acknowledge a donation that was made recently.

The report of the Paymaster was read.  Motion was made and seconded to accept the report as read.  This was approved by vote.

Chaplain Mike Whelan reported that Jinm Hastings wife had suffered a serious leg injury that will require extensive rehab.  Glen Chambliss returned from surgery that was successful.  He encourages everyone who may have been exposed to Agent Orange to follow up with their doctor.

Warren Griffin reported that the Modern Day Marine exhibition will be held in Washington D.C.

There was discussion about the potential of holding a gold tournament this year.  While this has been a successful fund raiser for 20 years, it is very labor intensive and many merchants who have contributed to the success have been impacted by COVID.  Discussion will continue prior to commitments being made.

Elections for officers were held.  The incoming slate of officers will be Mike Whelan-Commandant; Dave Gentes-Sr. Vice Commandant;
Warren Griffin-Judge Advocate.  The remaining slots will be established in future by vote or appointment.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:40.  All are encouraged to attend the next meeting on April 19.
